Where Are They Now - Full House

Updated on October 23, 2013

Keeping Up With The Cast Of Full House

A new family sitcom premiered in 1987. once were the days when a "traditional" family consisted of a mom and dad raising their perfectly behaved children. On Full House, Danny Tanner turned to his two best friends, Jesse Katsopolis and Joey Gladstone, to help him raise his three daughters after his wife died. Which made for years of television perfection. You might have seen the Olsen twins and even John Stamos around but what happened the the rest of the cast?

Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos)

Being previously cast in daytime soap opera General Hospital as Blackie in the early 1980's he had somewhat made a name for himself. But when he was cast as Jesse Katsopolis, he had found himself a hit.

Soon after Full House ended, Stamos did not seem to be finding roles easily. He played in the series Thieves and Jake in Progress but both were canceled quickly. He turned to Broadway in the form of musicals and played drums on and off with the Beach Boys.

In the mid 2000's he finally got back into televison. He had a four season stint on ER playing Dr. Tony Gates. He recently played Emma Pilsbury's husband Dr. Carl Howell on Glee. Stamos also has two projects in post-production: a tv movie named Little Brother and the a flim named My Man Is A loser.

In his personal life, he married model Rebecca Romijn the year after Full House ended. They were divorced almost seven years later. He has been linked to Emma Heming and Renee Zellweger but he has never remarried.

Danny Tanner (Bob Saget)

Sucess came early to Bob Saget as he won a student Acaedmy Award at Temple University where he was enrolled at only 19. His documentary short was called Throught Adam's Eyes. he quickly started stand-up comedy with the occasional guest appearances on The Greatest American Hero and It's A living.

But it was only when he got the part of Danny Tanner that he became a household name. After Full House, he was able to host America's Funniest Home Videos.

Saget returned to television comedies in 2009 with Surviving Suburbia but the show was cancelled after 13 episodes.

He played himself in three episodes of Entourage

Since 2005, he's been the narrorator of How I Met Your Mother which is now in it's eighth season.

In his personal life, Saget divorced his wife of 15 years, Sherri Kramer Saget, in 1997. The couple has three daughters: twins Aubrey and Lara Melanie, and younger daughter, Jennifer Belle.

Joey Gladstone (Dave Coulier)

While still in school, Dave Coulier was already doing impressions of the principal over the P.A. system and performing stand-up routines at lunch. While he was working on the comedy circuit, he landed his first big TV gig starring in the sketch comedy series "Out of Control."

He also landed book voice over jobs on The Real Ghostbusters and Muppet Babies.

After Full house ended, Coulier never managed to find primetime success but he has managed to build himself a soil career doing voice-over work on shows.

He tried him his hand at reality TV, appearing on Season 2 of Surreal Life and Skating with Celebrities but nothing was made of it.

In 2011, Coulier and fellow Full House alum Jodie Sweetin kicked off a Web series called "Can't Get Arrested." The show made fun of their lackluster careers.

In his personal life Coulier divorced his wife, Jayne Modean, after just two years in 1992. They have one child, a son named Luc.

He was also the inspiration for the hit song You Outta Know by Alanis Morissette.

D.J. Tanner (Candace Cameron Bure)

With a brother on television (Older brother Kirk was starring on Goriwng Pains), it was easy for her to get an audition.

After Full House ended she appeared in a couple of TV movies (She Cried No and Night Scream) but shortly after put her careeer on hold to focus on her family.

Just over a year after "Full House" ended, Cameron married Russian hockey player Valeri Bure. She continued to act, appearing in the TV movies "She Cried No" and "Night Scream." But in 1998, after giving birth to their first child, Natasha Valerievna Bure, Cameron decided to put her career on hold.

When she returned, she got another break by landing a part in a television series called Make It or Break it which she stayed with for three years. She released a New York Times best selling book called Reshaping It All: Motivation for Physical and Spiritual Fitness.

In her personal life, she married Russsian hockey player Valeri Bure a year after Full House ended. They were introduced by Dave Coulier(Joey Gladstone). They have three children.

Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin)

Jodie Sweetin had a couple of acting credits under her belt at the time of Full House.

After Full house ended, Sweetin focused on her education. She graduated from high school in 1999 and went on to attend Chapman University.

More famously, after Full House ended Sweetin started to abuse drugs. She released a memoir in 2009 describing these times.

After getting her life back on track, she started to get her career back in order. She appeared in several films(Redefining Love and port City) as well as teaming up with Dave Coulier(Joey Gladstone) for a web series called Can't Get Arrested.

In her personal life, Sweetin married Cody7 Herpin in 2007 and they had one daughter. They divorced in 2008 which led to a bitter custody battle. Herpin alleged that Sweetin drove drunk with their daughter in the car.

To date, Sweetin in engaged to Morty Coyle with whom she had a second daughter.

Jodi Sweetin's Memoir

I personally enjoyed her book.

Michelle Tanner (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen)

The famous Olsen twins (fraternal, not identical) went on to have full careers after Full House. They had two series(Two of a Kind and So Little Time) and even though they each only lasted a season, they were just starting. Their company Dualstar, launched which included books, magazines, clothing, dolls, fragrances, and cosmetics. At the tender age of 16 years old, they appeared on Forbes "Celebrity 100" list having generated $1 billion in annual sales.

They have both been in several movies with Mary-Kate gueststarring on Weeds.

The twins co-wrote a book feauting designers that inspired their own fashion line's.(Influence)

Mary-Kate was previously in treatment for anorexia while Ashley filed a lawsuit worth $40 million against the National Enquirer for alledging that she had been involved in a drug scandal.

In their personal lives, Mary-Kate is reportedly dating Oliver Sarkozy while Ashley is single.

After Full house ended, so did Andrea's acting career. Instead she got her undergraduate degree in English and a master's degree in women studies.

In her personal life she married Jeremy Rytky in 2002. They have teo children.

Nicky & Alex Katsopolis (Blake and Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit)

Once Full House ended, Nicky and Alex from Full House stopped acting having never been interested in it.

They have lived private lives since and nothing is known about them except they will be 22 years old on November 29th.

Steve Hale (Scott Weinger)

Since Full House ended Scott has maintained a balance between normal life and acting. He majored in French and English in University. He has appeared as a guest star on several television shows and lending his voice to video games.

Most impressive, he was a writer and co-producer on the reboot of 90210.(In which Lori aka Becky starred in for a time)

In his personal life, he has never married.
